UCSB's Cheadle Center for Biodiversity and Ecological Restoration (CCBER) is hosting a seminar series this winter focusing on a wide variety of research topics, including, systematics, biotic inventories, biodiversity informatics, and climate change.
Our seminar will be held at the Cheadle Center, which is located under Harder Stadium (Bldg. 578), Wednesdays 5:00-6:00 PM.
The first presenter, Ph.D. candidate Saul Hoyos-Gomez, will take us on a virtual tour of three biodiversity hotspots in Colombia. His talk, entitled "Extreme Botany" will highlight the challenges involved doing field work in Colombia.
