My research analyzes insect response to anthropogenic disturbance. Habitat loss, climate change, and pesticide pollution all impact insects, and can lead to modified community assemblages, altered phenology, reduced diversity, and discernible organismal biomarkers of stress. My current work centers native bees across environmental and temporal gradients, using a combination of field work, natural history collections, and community science. I am co-advised by Hillary Young (Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology) and Katja Seltmann (Cheadle Center).
